Books and community totals: Resource Together records summarized in September 2026. Akroso library and examination milestone: Ghana News Agency, May and September 2026.
A library.
A school first.
A new chapter.
What began with 600 books grew into a community library with more than 5,000 books and four laptops.
Students, teachers, families and local tradespeople helped turn shared resources into a place to learn. In May 2026, Ghana News Agency described it as the district’s first functional community library.
Students. One historic first.
In September 2026, GNA reported that all eight candidates in the school’s first-ever Basic Education Certificate Examination successfully completed the exam and were preparing for senior high school.
This milestone belongs to the students, teachers and families who worked for it. The library is one part of their wider story.
A focused pilot, followed by visits to see how resources were being used.
A locally built library, with four laptops supplied in total.
Continued support as the school celebrates its first examination cohort.

Useful resources.
Meaningful opportunity.
We begin with what communities tell us they need. Books, technology and health resources belong in the hands of people who can put them to work.
Books that get opened.
From a mobile-library pilot to a fully stocked community library, we help schools create places where students can read, explore and keep learning.
Explore our library work →New life for useful laptops.
Donated laptops and learning materials connect surplus in the U.S. with practical needs in Ghana. At Akroso, four laptops were supplied alongside the library’s books.
Offer laptops or materials →Support for local health teams.
Our health work includes requested laptops and medical materials supplied to the Central Tongu District Health Directorate for local allocation.

We don’t drop off
and disappear.
Listen first. Start small. Check what works. Grow with the community.
Our library model includes a return visit after 4–6 months to check access, care and use before a larger investment.
Local teachers, leaders and tradespeople are co-builders—not an afterthought.
Identify & verify.
A need reaches us. We visit, listen and assess what is requested and what the community is ready to support.
Partner & pilot.
We form a local partnership and begin with a manageable contribution—such as a first set of books and laptops.
Check & plan.
Follow-up visits look at how resources are used. The community then helps design and cost the next step.
Build & sustain.
Local hands help create the space. We stock it, recognize contributions and return to support continued use.
Different communities.
Shared possibility.
Each community starts in a different place. Our job is to listen, build relationships and support the next responsible step.
A milestone worth celebrating.
GNA reported the school’s first-ever BECE cohort and its leading performance among public schools in the Akroso Circuit. The eight students were preparing for senior high school.

The books are only
part of the story.
The journey matters, too.
Donated resources still need to be packed, shipped, cleared and delivered. Your gift helps close the distance between generosity and a community’s next opportunity.
From U.S. collection and packing to Tema Port and local delivery in Ghana, logistics is part of making a donation useful.
Estimated logistics budget for the planned shipment.
Budget allocation—not funds raised.

Talk with us about your gift →It started with
a useful laptop.
It grows with all of us.
In 2023, founder Eugene Yeboah began redirecting usable laptops from the U.S. to Ghana. That simple act grew into a community-led effort connecting donors, volunteers, teachers, health partners and local leaders.
We serve people regardless of religion, ethnicity, status or gender. Every partnership starts with the same idea: useful resources should not go to waste while someone else needs them.
